Happy and Safe New Year’s!!!

Damian Morgenstern (Deputy), Russ Co, Max Barrett (Undersheriff), Nathan Keener (Court Security), Trevor Dinkel (Deputy)

Well I bet this looks pretty bad? I bet you all are wondering what I have done now!?!
I just thought that I would stop by and see my friends at the Russell County Sheriff’s Office. GOTCAH!!!!

Shortly we will be ringing in the New Year!! Gathering with friends and family to celebrate the end of 2011 and the start of 2012 that should be filled with fun, laughs and good times!!

If you don't obey the law, you just might end up where I am!!!

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office and I just ask you to please make sure that you take safety precaution such as:
            1) Plan ahead if you plan on drinking alcohol, and make sure you have a designated driver
            2) Wear your seat belt, drive sober and defensively as many people will be on the road with you
            3) If you are hosting a New Year’s Bash, offer more to drink then alcoholic drinks. If someone does drink too much, help make sure they have a sober ride home and don’t over serve if someon has had to much.

Let’s start the New Year off right!!  We hope everyone has a safe, healthy and happy 2012!!!

Welcome Western KS Rural Economic Development Alliance!

KREDA conference at the Elks Lodge in Russell!

I am out at the Elks Lodge in Russell today.  Our office is excited to be the host of the annual meeting for WKREDA (Western Kansas Rural Economic Development Alliance) today and tomorrow!  There are lots of Economic Development Directors and State Resource partners staying over night in Russell tonight!

This annual meeting provides the opportunity for rural economic issues to be discussed and for resource partners such as Ks. Dept. of Commerce to provide updates on programs to economic development directors.

Everyone is having a good time and getting into the Christmas cheer.  Everyone was asked to wear something festive for both days of the conference.  I myself got a pair of snazzy Santa socks!  We are having a good old-time out at the Elks Lodge!
