Today, I took a trip the Russell County Courthouse where I saw the newly carved limestone post of Bob Dole. If you haven’t gotten a chance to see it you should take a trip up to the courthouse to check it out!! It is a pretty neat and unique limestone!!

Can you imagine the stories and the history that the first log cabin have developed over the years?
I was on my way to Luray, Kansas and when I saw the log cabin, I just had to stop. I have heard some of the history about the log cabin but I have always wanted to experience the history myself. As I was walking around the cabin, I could only imagine the stories that this cabin have developed over the years.
If you are a history buff or looking for something to do with your family this weekend, take a ride along K-18 highway and visit the first log cabin in Russell County!! The cabin is open to walk-in visitors where one can only imagine life of the very first families to come to Russell County and what started the community of Luray, Kansas!!!

Come out to Christmas Wonderland this weekend and take a ride on the Christmas Wonderland Express! I’ve taken a ride in the train and it is great! What a fun way to see all the Christmas lights displayed within Christmas Wonderland. You can also stop at Suzys Sweet Shop before you board the train for a sweet snack!

I stayed at the Black Swan Inn and it was AWESOME!
Fall is in the air, so what better way to enjoy the beautiful FALL weather than a good workout! This morning I headed out to Russell Regional Hospital’s outdoor walking trail. What a great track! They also have at least 7 different work out stations to work your legs, arms, abs, etc. I recommend you make a stop at the RRH outdoor walking trail! I had a great workout this morning and I’m ready to tackle the rest of the week now!
