Waiting outside the Russell Highschool for the wrestling tournament to start!!
I was really excited to hear that Russell was going to host the 3-2-1A Regional Wrestling tournament!! The tournament will take place at the Russell Highschool Amos Morris Gymnasium being today at 2pm and continues through the consolation semifinals. Wrestling will resume at 11am Saturday with the consolation bracket matches.
I came out to the highschool early today so I could meet some of the wrestlers. There will be over 100 wrestlers from schools across central Kansas. Schools entered in the regional include Republic County, Beloit, Bennington, Ellsworth, Southeast of Saline, Hoisington, Thunder Ridge, Langdon-Fairfield, Lincoln, Lyons, Rock Hills, Marysville, Minneapolis, Osborne, Riley County, Sacred Heart, St. John’s Military Academy, Smith Center, Stafford and Sylvan-Lucas!!!
Come out and cheer on your home town wrestlers!!!
